“Count no man happy until he is dead” is an ancient warning, and I am not sanguine about the future of our nation or of the world.  Nevertheless, as my 80th year approaches, I feel extremely lucky to have lived and loved from 1934 to the present.  I feel that I have done my best in various academic and theatrical endeavors.  I take great joy in my loving wife, daughters, and grandsons.  Peace.
